This is a blog about the Square Meal Diet. This diet is not focused on weight loss by avoiding “forbidden” foods. Its focus is on supporting good health for the maximum enjoyment of life. The core of the diet is “The Square Meal,” which contains 100% of the daily nutritional requirements in one meal. The other two meals are devoted to our favorite foods. No food is forbidden.

To lose weight is simple: we gradually taper the portion sizes of our favorite foods. In no case do we ever give up our favorites. In no case do we ever attempt to diet without proper nutrition. Although there is a serious blind spot in the scientific community about this, dieting without assuring proper nutrition accelerates the development of health problems, worse than anything brought on by weight problems alone.
