Then that is another way that cancer weakens the immune system (the reduction in glutamine pools, which nourish immune cells, and the conversion to glutamate and free fatty acids by tumor cells, followed by the excretion of glutamate and free fatty acids, which also inhibits immune cells.

Clearly this vitamin C deficiency, if real, is fixable, and if cancer takes up vitamin C at a high level, whether by the glucose receptor or not, catalase-deficient cancer cells could be killed by vitamin C’s power to potentiate free radical reactions, and catalase-sufficient cancer cells may thus be selected for.

Now simultaneously select against catalase-sufficient cancer cells. A one-two punch that makes sense, particularly IF there is a way to select against catalase-sufficient cells that is as harmless or generally useful as vitamin C treatment.
