Do Christians suffer less from psychological problems than non-Christians?

I have heard it so claimed, and in part believe it. It is another example of maximum irony in action because religious people are insane by definition.

But if a person’s insanity is of the delusional form, with a plethora of comforting illusions, he may be less apt to be anxious, worried, depressed, and psychotic (except in defense of his faith).
