A better protocol for lowering high BP without drugs: try this first

Model: during the initial and reversible phase of high blood pressure, the problem is twofold whenever edema is also present:

1. too much sodium in the diet -> restrict sodium to a palatable level.

2. too little of one of more substances needed to move excess sodium out of the body -> add back these substances.

Hypothesis: those substances in 2) are found in what is lacking in the American diet. Dark green vegetable juice. Therefore, to the lowered salt diet, add 1 quart of dark green vegetable juice per day, sweetened with sufficient fruit to make it palatable.

Hypothesis: substances needed to move excess sodium out of the body include potassium, lithium, and magnesium – all found in dark green leafy vegetables and their juice.

Prediction: blood pressure will normalize in many individuals within a month without any loss of weight. Results will beat the low salt Dash Diet with ease – the Dash diet is not high in substances that move excess sodium out of the body, and it is a diet that is hard to comply with because the sodium is too low to maintain palatability.
